The American Heart Association endorsed the Nintendo Wii to advocate heart healthy kids in 2010! The AHA Heart Icon is featured on the box of the wii console. They support healthy heart awareness by teaching kids 12-15 years of age active ways to learn basic CPR ! Interactive games have a playlist of songs with 100-beats per minute. Dance games are good cardiopulmonary exercise,and are fun for kids of all ages!

Health and Wellness for Heart Healthy Living
Kids need a balanced diet in order to have energy throughout the day. Exercise and Nutrition go hand in hand . Kids need to eat a wide variety of food, such as, Fruits and Vegetables, Calcium, and Protein to help provide a healthy diet. Exercise includes endurance, strength training , and flexibility to build strong bones and muscles. A good cardiopulmonary workout is best achieved through steady cardiovascular stimulation. At least, 30 minutes a day. The results build up childrens' strength, stamina, and flexibility of their muscles.

There are many benefits to having kids be involved in physical education using Wii Fit! This fitness video game is by Nintendo for the Wii Console. Based on specific objectives, one can customize fitness routines that meet the needs of the individual, or the group . It can be used for a single player, or multi -player games, which allow up to eight players to play. There are many fitness games, some are Just Dance2, sports games, such as golf, tennis,basketball,football,soccer,volleyball, karate,kickboxing,rhythm boxing, yoga, snowboarding,ice skating and much more. Almost any type of sport that involves fitness is available, and they are constantly adding many more activities. Kids love video games, why not include it in health education and educate them on the benefits of fitness focused video games and computer games. The idea is to get them moving, and not sedentary on the sofa, viewing media such as the TV, videos, games, and computer games, facebook, and other social media that allows them to maintain sedentary behavior instead of active behavior that moves the body. These games will help improve the BMI (body mass index), and help increase heart rate ,and respiratory rate while they are having fun just playing the games.
